We are pleased to announce that we have now achieved the Gold Award for Healthy Schools London, in addition to our Bronze and Silver Awards, for our commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of our pupils.
The Daily Mile – Healthy Schools
We have been awarded a certificate from Healthy Schools Tower Hamlets in recognition for successfully taking part in the Daily Mile Children Fit for Life initiative to promote the health and wellbeing of pupils throughout the school.
Unicef UK
Lawdale has been awarded Unicef UK’s OutRight Certificate, recognising our commitment, passion and hard work on the OutRight campaign promoting and protecting the rights of all children, to live in a clean and safe environment in support of clean air.
Summer Reading Challenge 2019
We are pleased to let you know that Oumie King, Ruqayyah King, Wazihah Amin and Mohammad Salam joined and completed the Summer Reading Challenge this year.
Well Done to them all!
Fundraising
The children have worked hard fundraising by taking part in the playground challenge sponsored by Soccer Aid. They have shown a commitment to every child’s right to play, learn and live safe, happy lives.
Save the Children
We dressed up in our woolly best to raise money for ‘Save the Children‘ on Christmas Jumper Day.. The Money will help bring essential food, healthcare, education and protection to children all around the world.
Donation & Thank You
We would like to give a big thank you to the Bank of England for their donation of £3,500, and their Staff who have volunteered through the Reading Partners Programme to support our pupils with their learning
Thank you to our breakfast club sponsors ‘Amazon’ for their continued support in providing our children with a positive start to the day. We believe no child should go hungry, and have the right to a healthy breakfast. We currently feed 90+ children a day. This has had a huge impact on their learning.
We would like to say a very big Thank You to our new Amazon Volunteers this term Hayley Nathan, Ben Wheatley and Ioma Mckenzie and for their generous donations of Lego and Playing cards.
