The Pupil Premium is provided by the government as an addition to the main school funding. This funding is provided to aid disadvantaged pupils and allow them to attain as well as other pupils. Pupil Premium consists of pupils who are Children Looked After in addition to those who are eligible for free school meals (FSM).
Schools can then decide how the Pupil Premium is used, as they are able to make informed decisions based on their assessment of each individual pupil.
